How to Select Close Caption Language on Videos

Hi. Here’s a brief video to turn on the “Close Captioning” for the videos I produce for BreathingBook.

  1. First, start the video.
  2. Look for the “CC” button and select it (it will turn red when selected).
  3. Then, hover your mouse over the red “CC” until you see a window pop up.
  4. English is set as the language by default.
  5. Move your mouse up to “Translate Captions BETA”. Select it with your mouse.
  6. If the video stops, just restart the video and try again.
  7. Once “Translate Captions BETA” is selected, you’ll see a new black popup that says Translate BETA in the corner.
  8. The first language listed is Afrikaans – Afrikaans. Click on this to open the scrolling window.
  9. Move your mouse down a little and then use your up and down arrow keys to scroll to your desired language. Once it’s highlighted in red, use your mouse to select it.
  10.  Click okay.

I hope this helps. If there’s some sort of problem, please leave me a comment and I’ll see if I can address it.

Peace out!

Loris
